I went on the SDP website to look at the curriculum. The book
that you are referring to is part of K12 curriculum which only
a few schools are using. If I remember it correctly and I may
not, the district was called on the carpet for using it when
the owner used to work for the district or something. Most are
using a new curriculum which is on the website and involves
FOSS and/or STC kits. They are not replenishing the K12 kits
and eventually everyone will be using FOSS/STC kids. If you
want to see the Philadelphia curriculum go their website, click
on Teaching and Learning and follow the links to Science and
click on the right grade level.
