Post: RTI - help!
We are beginning the "Response to Intervention" mandate at
our school - little to no training, but told we have to do
it. Today we hear that the most important part is the "core
curriculum". Our administrator says this means a new basal
series for language arts for everyone - and each teacher at
each grade on the same page every day. Our IU curriculum
person is backing her on this claim. I've been using
literature based reading and authentic writing for 20 years
with great results. Any PA teacher familiar with RTI who
can help me out? What does a "core curriculum" look like in
your school?
